PGA HOPE is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. We introduce golf to veterans and active duty military to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.

PGA of America REACH Foundation

The PGA of America REACH Foundation is the 501(c)(3) charitable foundation of the PGA of America. The mission of the Foundation is to positively impact the lives of youth, military, and diverse populations by enabling access to PGA Golf Professionals, PGA Sections and the game of golf.

What is PGA HOPE?

PGA HOPE spans 6-8 weeks, led by PGA professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency. All programming is funded through PGA REACH and supplemented by Section Foundations, making it completely free for veterans.

The program uses golf as a vehicle for healing — combining physical activity, social connection, and outdoor wellness to support veterans in their journey.

Tim Carlson co-leads PGA HOPE Fayetteville after experiencing the transformative power of golf during his own transition from military service. When he relocated to Fayetteville in 2020, he was determined to ensure local veterans had access to this program.

Cost

Completely free for all eligible veterans and active duty service members.

Duration

6-8 week structured program with ongoing graduate activities.
